TMG Tin Project
TMG holds a strong portfolio of prospective tin tenements in the Herberton Tin Field region of Far North Queensland – a mineral first discovered in the region in 1879. Historic mining and previous exploration results indicate that the TMG Tin Project has considerable potential. Our exploration and development projects are located west of the Atherton Tablelands between Mount Garnet and Ravenshoe.
The current major project is the TMG Tin Project which covers over 60,000 ha of mining leases and exploration permits. We are focused primarily on the commodity of tin with potential for products of iron and fluorine. Our primary tin tenements include Gillian (ML 20743), Pinnacles (on EPM 14185) and Windermere (MDL 381), as well as several highly prospective exploration leases including TIN01 and Wriggly. Each primary tin tenement was studied by Consolidated Tin and Tablelands Mining have carried out further drilling to potentially expand these resources.
The current level of Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) is based on multiple campaigns of desktop, geophysical, soil geochemical, close spaced reverse circulation and diamond drilling programs which have provided geologists with an abundance of material to work with in formulating and testing various hypotheses about geological setting and mineralisation evolution.
The work done to date has led to the expectation there will likely be an increased resource tonnage but also increased confidence in the indicated and measured resource categories.
In addition to previous drilling campaigns across the TMG tenements there remains very good potential for additional tin resources in the broader Herberton / Mount Garnet area.
